Daniel Raven murdered his parents-in-law Leopold Goodman 49 and Esther Goodman 47 who he battered at Ashcombe Gardens, Edgware on 10 October 1949.

He was hung despite the fact that the results of an electro-encephalogram showed that he was probably an idiopathic epileptic. A petition with 16k names asking for his reprieve.

He said that he had got the blood found on his clothes whilst kneeling down by the boies when he found them.
